Nick Melillo, founder of Foundation Cigar Co., is expanding his El Güegüense and The Wise Man Maduro lines by adding a thick perfecto to both of these Nicaraguan brands.
The newly released perfecto measures 4 3/4 inches by 60 ring gauge, the tapered perfectos are called Macho Raton. The name comes from the main character in the El Güegüense Nicaraguan folk tale which inspired both the cigar line of the same name, and its darker counterpart, The Wise Man Maduro.
The cigars are in ways ying and yang, the El Güegüense is wrapped in a Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 cover leaf from the Jalapa region with a Mexican San Andrés binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Condega and Jalapa.
Now The Wise Man Maduro, reverses the binder and filler with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Jalapa Corojo ’99 binder and fillers from the same regions.
We couldn't get enough of these to fit in our subscription packs, but we were able to get some and make them available as 5pack for you to try!
